Last night, my wife and I got some lovely Starbucks<\/a>.\u00a0 Ahh, refreshing…sorry, I digress.\u00a0 After that, I decided to go to Hastings<\/a>, our local bookstore\/video store\/game store.\u00a0 We were looking at kids music for preschoolers (where my wife works).\u00a0 I saw this book about kids first prayers.\u00a0 Here was The Lord’s Prayer (paraphrased).<\/p>\n

Dear Father, We love you!\u00a0 We want to make you happy.\u00a0 Thank you for giving us everything we need.\u00a0 Please take care of us today.\u00a0 We’re sorry when we don’t listen to you.\u00a0 Help us to love one another!\u00a0 You are wonderful, God!\u00a0 Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now, that doesn’t sound at all like this, now does it?<\/p>\n

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.\u00a0 For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.\u00a0 Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
