{"id":344,"date":"2008-04-24T12:00:05","date_gmt":"2008-04-24T18:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/revtucher.com\/?p=344"},"modified":"2008-04-24T12:00:05","modified_gmt":"2008-04-24T18:00:05","slug":"candidate-placements-and-the-33","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revtucher.com\/?p=344","title":{"rendered":"Candidate Placements and the 33"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csl.edu\" target=\"_blank\">Concordia Seminary, St. Louis<\/a> held its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csl.edu\/Resources_CallDay2008_VicaragesName.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Vicarage Assignment<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csl.edu\/Resources_CallDay2008_CallsName.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Candidate Placement<\/a> services.\u00a0 At those services, all vicar-elects were placed, while 20 pastor-elects were not placed.\u00a0 Of those 20, 3 were special cases.\u00a0 That left 17 men without calls to a congregation.\u00a0 St. Louis also had 5 deaconess-elects without calls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/revtucher.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/chapel-logo.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-345 alignleft\" style=\"float:left;\" src=\"https:\/\/revtucher.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/chapel-logo.gif\" alt=\"Chapel logo\" width=\"57\" height=\"49\" \/><\/a>On Tuesday evening, my alma mater, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctsfw.edu\" target=\"_blank\">Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne<\/a>, held its <a href=\"http:\/\/ctsfw.edu\/cts\/placement\/v-spring08.php\" target=\"_blank\">Vicarage Assignment<\/a> service.\u00a0 All vicar-elects were placed.\u00a0 The following evening, the <a href=\"http:\/\/ctsfw.edu\/cts\/placement\/c-spring08.php\" target=\"_blank\">Candidate Placement<\/a> service was held.\u00a0 13 men were left without calls to a congregation.\u00a0 8 men also chose to pursue graduate studies.\u00a0 It&#8217;s possible that those men also were left without calls and chose to pursue further studies in hopes that calls would be forth-coming.\u00a0 Dr. Fickenscher said that it was his hope that all men would be placed into the Office of Holy Ministry by the end of July.\u00a0 We continue to pray for all of these men as they enter the role of shepherd and for those who continue to wait for calls.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis held its Vicarage Assignment and Candidate Placement services.\u00a0 At those services, all vicar-elects were placed, while 20 pastor-elects were not placed.\u00a0 Of those 20, 3 were special cases.\u00a0 That left 17 men without calls to a congregation.\u00a0 St. Louis also had 5 deaconess-elects without calls.
